Crack a "Chica Cherry Cola" and sit down for this one - we at Nochella have some very unfortunate news. Everyone's favorite Aussies Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones, better known as Savage Garden, will not be gracing Indio, CA this year.
Th news broke this morning in Australia during an interview with fellow countrymen and best friends to the band, Cut Copy. "We're excited to head to Coachella this year but are absolutely gutted our mates Savage Garden won't be playing alongside us in the Sahara tent" lamented Cut Copy frontman Dan Whitford.
In August 2007, Hayes was asked by The Daily Telegraph if he and Jones would ever consider a reunion, he replied abruptly, "No, never. I once said I'd only do it if it cured cancer, and that's still how I feel." Almost 4 years later - still no cure.
